 Tara Anderson – Membership Coordinator

Tara is a native Houstonian from Cypress who graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in Communication Disorders. She grew up in a military family who all shared a passion for hunting. Going to her family’s hunting lease as a child and fishing with her brothers gave Tara an early appreciation for the outdoors.

After graduation, Tara worked for the Nacogdoches County Attorney until moving back to Houston where she pursued telecommunication sales and recruiting for certain oil and gas companies. Between these positions, she learned how to work under stressful situations and how to also maintain relationships with different types of people.

Since coming to Houston Safari Club in December 2013, Tara assisted with many aspects of the 2014 Convention, maintains the daily clerical duties in the office and handles the online Membership Database . She can be reached at the HSC office at 713-623-8844 or via email at tara@houstonsafariclub.org.

Scarlett Darby – Director of Publications and Marketing

Scarlett is a native Houstonian from Memorial who graduated with a degree in Communications from the University of Houston. She grew up in a family with a love for the outdoors. Numerous hunting and fishing trips at a young age rubbed off on her and planted the seed early for her appreciation of nature.

After beginning her career in the legal field, the opportunity to get back to her love of the outdoors presented itself when Greg Rodriguez at Global Adventure Outfitters, Inc. offered her a position.  There she gained experience in designing marketing materials for clients and coordinating exhibits for GAO’s presence at national hunting tradeshows.  The opportunity of working with outfitters from all over the world has given her vital insight to the global hunting industry.

Scarlett now oversees the publication of the Hunter’s Horn and Bush Telegraph, handles marketing for the Club, and assists with the Convention live auctions. She can be reached at the HSC office 713-623-8844 or via e-mail at scarlett@houstonsafariclub.org.
